Exploration Support

Minerals exploration site support requires specialized knowledge of Canada's remote and harsh northern conditions and terrain.  It requires mobilization of temporary camp facilities, power generation, drilling equipment and manpower.  NUNA has provided expertise to the majority resource companies operating in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories from the exploration stage to the mine operation stage. 

NUNA has the EXPERTISE to assist in the preparation of pre-feasibility studies, construction methods, mine planning and site services, etc.

Route Selection / Temporary Airstrip
De Beers Canada Corporation, Nisha Exploration Project, Nunavut, Canada

De Beers Canada operates a number of exploration projects in the Slave Geological Region around and south of the Lupin Mine and DENESOLINE / NUNA Joint Venture provided De Beers Canada our ice airstrip and ice road building expertise to pioneer a Nodwell route into the Nisha site and prepared a temporary airstrip for the transportation of equipment, delivery of fuel and re-supply.  Our services also provided the co-ordination of fuel purchase and transportation from Yellowknife and the air-lift to Lupin.

De Beers Exploration Canada Ltd., Gahcho Kué Exploration Project, Northwest Territories Canada

DENESOLINE / NUNA Joint Venture provided De Beers Exploration with route selection services, construction of a 125 km winter road off of the Tibbitt to Contwoyto Winter Road route into the Gahcho Kué area, mobilization of construction and drill/blast equipment, transportation of bulk sample to Yellowknife and transportation of fuel to site.
